How can i paint a matt black grille + morettes?

I want my morettes and grille matt black, but im worried if i dont add a couple coats of laquer that it would stone chip very easily. but then would it turn all glossy if i laquered it?
should i just laquer matt black and hope it doesnt turn into gloss black? or should i use chalkboard paint? does that chip?

I sprayed a spare grill matt black using high temperature paint(which looks the same as chalkboarding)I didn`t lacquer & I had it on the car for over a year with no issues.

i dunno if it helps but i just painted my A B C pillars matt black

Got a tin of 250ml matt black paint from wilkinsons for like £2.78 or something silly..

the finish looks stunning and its very hard wearing.. without lacquer..

    Rollered on ftw.

    heres a couple pics

(didnt pay much attention to the bits that sit under the door/window seals)

thats with 3 coats and no lacquer i also did my computer case.. very hard wearing without lacquer..

Also you can get matt finish lacquer which doesnt go shiney..
