strange starting problems

   my vtr wont start sometimes
   the battery goes flat but it takes 3 days after charging it for it to go flat
   
   so i assume that if the alternator was shot that battery would go flat sooner
   and i cant see anything draining the battery to make it flat that would take 3 days seeing as how the car is driven every day
   
   the battery is new
   
   any ideas

   Get your alternator tested.

   i've ran the car with battery disconnected to test the alternator so i assumed its ok or should i get it tested at a garage ?
