Hey mate, i got your PM but thought id reply here incase anyone else was also looking to use the group N billies at a low height.

The group N's arent really designed for lowness unfortunately. The piston is still quite long and the internal bump stop is quite large. If you were to lower the front as much as the rear using the group N's you'd be in danger of constantly being on the bump stop.

Because of its design too its impossible to shorten the bump stop or even machine the damper down enough to make much difference.

I dont know of anyone who has used the group N dampers at a height lower than 40mm.

Whats your budget mate? If you still want a very high end of the market damper that can go low the pugsport group N ones are ideal but they are highly priced even more so with poor euro exchange rate and depending just how low you want to go they can be machined down easily enough if required.

Or for a more budget but still very good performance for money damper you can't go wrong with Apex ones (available from kamracing)

i was originally goin to go for the apex one but a few posts on here say that there rubbish for there money?
whats the site so i can look at these pug sport ones.
whats ur rating on the apex kit?have you driven any with that set -up on before?

Fitted loads of Apex kits now and theyre absolutely brilliant for the money and to my knowledge so far they are very reliable, who and where have you heard bad reviews?

The billie Group N's are of course alot better but definately not suitable for being as low as you want it.

The pugsports are on GMC website and Special tuning websites but IMO with current pricing its a silly amount to pay.

The extra money if using for general road use mostly would be better spent replacing tired worn parts such as top mount bearings, drop links aswel as upgrading suspension bushes to polybush variety.

was a thread somewhere i would have to search apex and have alook, so the dampers you get with 50mm apex kit are fine? which would mean that the apex can damp 50mm and the bilstein group n cant ?my heads pickled lol
