Alternatror Belt

    got a belt from halfords looked it up in there book and it said driver belt asked at the desk they said it would fit my 1.4 furio fine and well after it fighting me for ages it dont fit ..
    good places to get one from?

    Citroen, or your local parts shop...

    Not Halfords unless you know 100% what you need lol.

    citroen mate i collected my belt from citroen today and put it on earlier there.

    on the label it says (p) 5750 wv

    which most likely is citroens part number

    ha ha we picked one up too from local factors we get discount which is koolio.

    Fitted it tonight... heck it needed changing quick the old one was well and truely past it it had broke and was close to snapping really.

    when i say i replaced my belt i meant to say two drive belts lol it was split right down the middle

    im on there now i found 3 but they all look the same but basicly a £10 difference..

    how much is the belt from citroen

    You would be better with things like that from main dealer or even peugeot i have found that peugeot is cheeper than citroen for every thing for some reason. Parts like belts thermostats and the like are cheap as chips from main dealers. About a tenner i would say at most.

    also are the alternators different on the 1.1's and 1.4's ?

    Its usually things like different connectors and amps on alternators.
