I have been searching, but cannot find a definite answer.
My friend has just purchased a mark 2 VTR, which still has the mark 1 exhaust layout, e.g. cat under the car, not in the manifold.
The centre section on his exhaust has just started to blow due to a hole rotted through.
My question is, can he get the centre section from a mark 2 VTR or lesser model (e.g. 1.1) - will this mark 2 centre section fit correctly to the bottom of the down pipe, and then all the way along to the backbox?
Is there a difference in pipe bore between the 1.1 centre sections and the VTR ones, as i believe the 1.1 centre sections do not have a silencer?
