Clifford Alarm Problem

  1. #1
Can't remeber the name of it (at my Fiance's at the moment so no paperwork or anything) But It seems to be playing up. Everytime i open the door, the alarm goes off. Shut all the doors boot bonnet etc, it will still go off. It does settle down after a bit, but its sort of annoying. It also seems to be connected to my horn as well, which is currently disconnected, but since i got an MOT tomorrow, i sort of need it working. I have tried taping down the push switches in the doors, but that doesn't seem to have worked.
The battery has been disconnected for a while which might be causing this alarm to be going all Haywire. I was just wondering, if anyone else has had a problem like this before with a clifford. Sorry if i doesn't make alot of sense, im kinda panicing about this stuff lol.

Thanks for any help in advance

    Mike.

Edit: Found out its the clifford Intellistart 650 alarm system, But it isnt wired up for remote starting.

When you open your any doors or your boot do the interior lights fail to come on when you open 1 of them? If they do then could be a door switch or bonnet switch even.

Sounds similar to a problem I had with my old clifford g5

    See here:

Mine also happened after disconnecting the battery
The issue went away overnight for me

To be honest with you i never really paid much attension to the interior light, because i get all the hazards going off lol. I know for a fact that the Bonnet and Boot pins are part of the clifford system, but im not sure if the pins in the door are just for the light switch or they are wired into the clifford (these door pins have been Strapped down, just to see if it did anything) or if the sensors are part of the door locks.
