Hi guys,Just had a clutch fitted as the clutch burnt out,
anyway the clutch has now done 510miles, anyway having problems where the gear jumps out of 3rd and then goes between 2nd an 4th looks like it's gone into gear but if you release the clutch you get no drive..... The clutch guy reckons that the gearbox remote has gone but he can't explain to me what this thing does.... Does any-one know what it is? Anyway he reckons he don't even know where it is? when he put the car on the ramp he found 2 leaks on the gearbox, one on the driveshaft seal (small leak) and apparently there is a seal that has disintergrated at the back of the gear box which is also leaking a bit, which he also said that this is causing the movement in the remote but he doesn't know what it does and where it is.... Yesterday the gear box was pretty much empty.... do either of these problems mean a new gearbox? or is he giving me the run around because i'm female?
