master cylinder for gti6 brake setup

  1. #1
Hey guys, I should be getting myself some Gti6 calipers and braided lines next week. Ive heard that you get alot of pedal travel before you can feel the brakes start to work with these fitted? my question is what is the correct master cylinder needed for this setup and will it sort the pedal travel out?

    Thanks Lee

If you've got ABS then the 23.8mm m/c from a 306 GTI (and Rallye iirc, but not 100%) - this should be a 2-port.

    If you don't have ABS then a 23.8mm setup from a non-abs 406 which should be a 4-port.

I got myself a 306 Gti-6 MC for my saxo vts but the mounting points are not the same, actually if i had to stick it on anyway it would be sideways which doesnt look good.......the reservoir is not straight...doesnt sound good! Are they all like that?
