#2I take it you`ve tried disconnecting/reconnecting the plugs under the seats?

#3taike out the blub? put a bit of tape over it?
-
#5are you allowed to bridge the cap on the connectors under the seat? my airbag lights on because ive got buckets. sorry to highjack the thread!
-
#6Have a search for putting resistors on the airbag circuit,if you`ve got bucket seats can you not transfer the pretensioners over to the new seats? Then plug the orange wires back in under the seats.

#7sorry to highjack but if you fit aftermarket steering wheel would the air bag light be on if so how can you stop this?
-
#9Just take the bulb out??? find out what wire it is going into the dials if its a mk2 and cut it, theres a way to do it. I wish i had an airbag light! mine dont even come on with the ignition its dead.
-
#10i have buckets in mine and the airbag light is always on, but it wont fail an mot over it tho can it?? all i did was just swapped my seats over...
-
#11does the airbag still work with the light flashing? [caused by underseat wires] This is something I've never been able to find out.
-
#12yeah i have a normal steering wheel but with buckets and my air bag light is on, but dunno if it will pass an MOT with the light on or not :/
-
#13My saxo has had a flashing air bag light for 3yrs & its always passed.(hasn`t now)because i`ve removed the damn thing.Quote:yeah i have a normal steering wheel but with buckets and my air bag light is on, but dunno if it will pass an MOT with the light on or not :/

#15Take out your dials an put a tiny bit of black electrical tape over the airbag light bit and it's sorted you can't take out the bulb it's an led. You shouldn't pass a mot with it on because all warning lights must go off after ignition is started.

#16The Airbag ECU will reset and delete the fault codes (taking the light off) when no problems are found in the system. So, check all the wiring before wasting money getting it manually reset - it would only come back on again and citroen would probably want to charge you for fixing the fault, not just taking the light off, which is fair enough i suppose...
Just for your information.. at the moment your car will pass an MOT with an ABS/Power Steering/Traction Control/Airbag warning light on. When the revised changes take place at the end of the year, cars will fail for any warning light.

#18So with my light removed I should be ok?Quote:The Airbag ECU will reset and delete the fault codes (taking the light off) when no problems are found in the system. #19... probably not

If they are checking for 'illegally mapped ECU's' then no doubt they will connect it up to a diagnostics machine as a matter of routine as that's the only real way to check the management system. While they're connected im sure they will read the safety stuff and fail them on the specific fault, warning light or not

#20same ive got buckets and my lights always on

#21I have vtr seats in my furio and my airbag light is on because the wiring on the vtr seats isnt the same as the furio. Would it be possible to swap the pretensioners from the furio seats to the vtr seats so the airbag light goes off? Thanks
