Saxo VTR not starting....any help plz.

Hi folks.
Sorry this is my first post so hopefully somebody can help.

Got a 2001 Saxo VTR.
Parked up last night, no previous problems but got up this morning to find it wouldnt start...Gutted!

Its turning over fine but not offering to start.
Plenty of fuel in it.
Has no alarm system fitted, just central locking from the fob.
I tried pressing the cut off under the red cap under the bonnet.
I removed the coilpack and tried 1 plug against the head and didnt get a spark.
I tried a multimeter on the 4 cable lead going to the coilpack, earthed against the battery and turned over the car and never got 12volts from any of the cables.
Unfortunetly i dont have a manual so any explanations of what to check and whereabouts to check this would be very grateful.

Either the coil pack is dead or I believe i`m right in saying that if the crank sensor is faulty

then coil pack won`t get any voltage/signal.

How can i check both of them?
I take it i should be getting 12 volts through one of the wires(which one?) going into the coil pack?

Anyway i found it was the Crank sensor
