Door wont close properly.?

Only just noticed this as it wasnt like this a week back when i last cleaned my car but my MKII VT passenger door wont close all the way,

It is shut but has like a 1-2cm gap compared to the drivers door.
you can put pressure on the bottom right side and it will seal but then goes back when released..

also noticed my door card has come away from the door bottom 3 side clips broke too somehow

..

it's either all co-insidence but last week i noticed someone had tried to price my window sealing up a bit or slipped something under it at least as it left a bubble up. (the black plasticy rubber bit on botton of window outside)

Pictures tomorrow.

From the description has anyone had an issue like this before or know something that may cause it?

Is your doorcard catching anywhere so that its stopping the door closing properly?

Locking mechanism? Common problem and I had to replace mine.

To be fair not had a good look in the daylight, noticed it last night and had things to do today, i'll have a check though sounds a good theory there!

not too sure? it all locks perfect and the catch does operate as it should when closing just feel like its being pushed back out a bit..
