you will just need to goo back as far as you can to the wires and create one from there

    black is earth
    yellow is ignition live
    red is permanant live

    i think???

There are a few ignition lives near there like the fan feeds

    cheers

dont the fan lives only work when the engine is actually running???

so wouldnt be usefull for the radio as you would have to have the engine running to have the radio on

ah your right been driving other cars to much recently.

i would do as said above and work back the original loom and repair it

can use the positive and negative from cig lighter, and run a wire to the battey for the permanant (ie to keep your settings and stations)
  11. #11
and make sure you add a fuse between the permanant if you do this as ign live will be covered by the cig lighter.
  12. #12
isnt the cig lighter permanently on, i can use it without the ignition being on
  13. #13
yer cig lighter is perm on

i have a funky alarm l.e.d fitted to mine on a switch
  14. #14
wasnt on mine, must of changed it later on, if that fails then take it from the headlight leveling switch.

even if you wire both to permanent lives then the head unit will ahev an off switch or will switch off when you remove the face plate
