kam linkages and ge quickshift

   right then, i have searched alot and cannot find what i'm lookin for. my problem is i've got kam gear linkages and a GE quickshift and the gear changes dont feel very nice, very clunky and fairly hard to get into 1st and 2nd. i adjusted the long linkage to the same size as standard and i think i made it worse, now im thinking as the quickshift affects the long linkage would i be right in saying if you adjusted that linkage shorter or longer and kept testing the gear changes until you get it nice and smooth? or shouldn't you do that? i know it's the quickshift because it started when i put it on and is buggin me now. any help would be thankful i've also replaced that roll pin

   Did you cable tie the pipes out of the way around the end of the linkage where the GE quickshift goes as it might just be that its catching on them?

   that is a good point, but i dont think it's that. will have 2 check, it's just very clunky and im worried about my gearbox as i've only just put another gearbox on...

   The very reason why I wouldnt bother with BOTH of them. Id never get a GE again.

   i took the quickshift and the linkages off today and feels so much better and tbf i highly doubt the gearbox is up to standard for someone to be ramming it into gear quickly, cut the gearstick down a little and a new roll pin then you've got some half decent gear changes for about 30p

   Good man. Ive been there and done that. B&M quickshift and standard linkages would be my choice, if any quickshift at all!
