    10.51mm with standard rockers.

I had a PT40 in my VTR. A friend of mine timed it up with a DTI to the lift at TDC on the Kent Cams spec sheet. The vernier pulley was showing 2 degrees advanced from standard timing.

I wasn't convinced the car was quicker, so I had the timing adjusted on the rollers. It made best power at 1 - 2 degrees advanced from standard timing. No two engines are the same, so your best bet is to have it adjusted on a rolling road.

Providing you're careful when you lock the standard cam pulley off and switch it for the vernier, 1 - 2 degrees advanced from standard timing should be pretty close imo.

vernier pulley is on, did valve clearances as well...
currently running 1 degree retard, altering next week though as runs a little sloppy, probably go for around 1-2 degrees advance

my water pump was seized to the block! took a little longer than expected... but its done now! lol

At 1 - 2 degrees advanced, mine run like standard - no lumpy idle or anything like that.

Valve clearances should be 0.25mm inlet and exhaust with the PT40.
