The Dust Cap on my wheels is stuck!

Iv'e tryed pliers, and WD40 to loosen it off a bit, but nothing, and I would prefer not to put on the spare, any ideas on how how to get that bloody thing off? I really dont know lol.

    Thanks In Advance!

i assume you mean the plastic cap on the valve, not sure why it would be seized on but i would just cut it off if you cant screw it off

It,s a metal one mate! LOl, i not very sure why its stuck on, and cutting it off? Will that not mess up all the threads etc on the valve end?

i see mate yeah a metal one, i thought plastic one as in cut it off, those cheap alloy ones will seize on but they do sometimes have a very small screw on the side of them which you tighten/loosen with an allen key

    Really?
They were only like £2 or somthing! Pain in the arse tbh, any other suggestions other than the allan key? B'coz I,m not too sure it has them on it Hassle!

I had these with a set of wolfrace alloys I had. Bought some metal valve caps from halfords and within a week they were seized on solid. I ended up having to get new valves Lesson learned, just stick with the boring old black ones!

Suppose you could maybe even paint the valve caps....
    If you were that bothered...

if there the cheap metal ones you have to get new valves as the 2 metals bond together and they wont come off.. valves are expensive just take your car to a tires place and they will change it/them in a bout 5 mins... i had the same problem

It'll be more than a tenner for all four.

Its very common as said, loads of people fit them gay dustcaps and they get stuck on.. pretty much impossible to get them off by hand.
