VT Bumpers

  1. #1
Sorry if I'm sounding stupid, I'm looking to put VT bumpers on my 1.1, I have a Mk1 is there any difference between the MK1 and MK2 bumpers?
  2. #2
    Nope, same on mk1 & mk2.

Remember that the VT bumpers are wider than the flat arch ones.

Can I keep the flat arch with the VT bumpers?
  4. #4
    Nope, there the same mate

You can keep flatarch and just use vt front bumper, if you pull it in tight

Looks like it s gonna be VT front bumper then lol

You can fit the whole vt kit to flatarches, but it says you have a 5 door, thats why i only said about the front bumper lol

Front bumper will bolt on, but the sides will need pulling in tight as said above.
Strong cable ties would do it.

i think the front bumpers are different between mk1 and 2. the tow eyes are in different locations, mk1 i beleive it has a loop towards the bottom of the bumper where as the mk2 has the hole and direct screw in. my friend had this problem with his bumpers IIRC!

easiest way ive heard of is to remove the side mount for the bumper then the vt one will pull in alot easier as it wont have that pushing it out.....
other to that you will also need new inner wings as i vt kitted my 1.1 and now have massive gaps as the standard ones curve in at the bottom and vt ones dont......

Will go straight on, would get the VT kit so its all nice and flush
