changing mileage on dials

  1. #1
    Hello people

Ive got a dodgey fuel guage, i have to like tap it for it to move etc, so i was thinking of changing my dials

i went to citroen and asked if they could change the mileage if i got some more dials and they said no

is there anyone that can change them?

    thanks

Theres a good reason they said no, its no legal. You carnt alter the milage on a car.

    i thought that,

always wondered what happens when you put in a new engine with lower or higher mileage, do you not change it then?

best bet is to buy dials with close miles or search around for people that will do it was going to do it on my first car ( wanted white dials ) and a guy on ebay was going to do it but i got a new car instead

or just swap the fuel guage for a working one, they all come out of the cluster. keeping your current speedo and mileometer.......

I think the way it was said threw me off lol. Yes you can change your dials, I would have thought the ecu or something would have stored the milage so when you change the dials the readout is still the same.

buy a new set of dials and pm RYANMT he can adjust the mileage to your cars for about £25 iirc
