hey guys this is the problem , a few weeks ago i parked up on a car park , came back drove it 2 mins across the road to another car park , and came back after about an hour , only to find that the saxo wont start , the key is flashing meaning its imbolised itself -_- , so a recovery van comes and collect me , takes me home , we have a friend of a friend who is an auto electrician , he came out and tried to connect 8 different computer things up , with no joy , the ecu wouldn't let any of them in , so we sent the ecu off to be unlocked hoping that would solve it , £250 later and we are still no better off , can somebody please help , we have had the transponder off the ignition barrel with a key inside and then trying to turn the ignition on with the other , but still no joy.

the saxo is a 1.4 furio 51 plate , has never let us down before but i am desperate now , thanks in advance guys

Try getting someone to read and delete the fault codes off the ECU if it has been unlocked it should start without the need for the immobilizer. Also before the car stopped working did you drop the keys at all?

Now when the new software was put on are you sure they unlocked it just to make sure because if it was just a software re installation then it wont solve the problem and your looking at a new ring decoder tbh.

Try taking the battery off for around 10-15 mins and see if this resets the ecu. If not then Ive almost run out of ideas maybe a loose or dirty connection on the ecu plugs.

New ECU from the for sale section on here?

For a 1.4 Furio Unlocked ECU it should be no more than £40 surely?
