Battery cut off switch query...

Ok, this is possibly a silly question so i will apologise now lol.

Battery cut off switches......im looking around and i see cheap ones for like £5 and then more expensive ones that are FIA approved and have a resistor on them.

Is it worth paying the extra £££ ???

Does the resistor on the FIA switches just discharge any power that may be stored in the vehicles wiring when the switch is turned off??

As always any help would be much appreciated.

    Thanks in advance.

Resistor will just be to regulate the current IIRC.

The main reason FIA approved parts are more costly is just that, they're FIA approved. Approval costs money and if you need an FIA approved car, you have to pay what they charge...

Unless you're considering racing outside the UK, you needn't bother with anything of FIA expense.
