1.1 backbox on a vtr!!!! HELP

   hi got told today that the exhaust on my new vtr i bought is the wrong type, its off a 1.1, anyone know if this will restrict the performance of my vtr a little ? as it tops out at 115, my old vtr used to hit 125 no problem!
   
   any help appreciated!!

   i wouldnt have thought it would make a lot of difference, it will probably restrict it slightly and quieten the noise slightly which would explain your lower top speed, if its not going to be noticed, leave it for now then next time it needs replacing put a vtr one on it

   I shouldn't think it would make too much of a difference, although it is a lot more restricted airflow..

   Didnt think you could still get past a ton in Majuba carpark..
   
   It wouldnt restrict it that much, good service might help. Dont forget tyre size, engine history, gearbox etc can affect top speed. Unless theyre guaranteed 100% identical, which they wont be, you cant compare.

   yeah true... put a big bore backbox on it and its bit quicker but still nowhere near what my other 1 was lol. ohh well
