Need help with "Fuel Gage"

  1. #1
Hello, Sorry to be a bother to people on here but I'm stuck between a rock and a hard place...

Anyway I have a 52 Plate saxo desire. I have the problem that my fuel pump died and wasn't giving my engine the petrol... so for obvious reasons it needed to be changed; now before this the fuel gage wasn't showing 100% correct anyway. Now that the fuel pump is changed the car was working again. But the gage doesn't show the right amount of petrol in my car, now I have £5 in my saxo atm and it says it is at 1/4 on my gage now I’m sure that £5 isn't 1/4 seeing as the price of petrol and for the fact that I’ve used 25 miles of that £5... Now I have also got recently a new set of dials to see if this would solve the problem, low behold it didn’t I am no mechanic...

Any help would be appreciated as I hate playing the "petrol" game see how far till I konk out haha!
    Thanks John
    P.s sorry for bad spelling/grammar.

The fuel gauge on the saxo isn't best accurate however it could be on yours the fuel sender unit needs checking or replacing as it may be faulty.
