a few turbo questions.... kkk k14?

    hi guys and girls.

    i have a k14 turbo here in very good condition, now does anyone know much about them? would it suit a low boost convertion? it looks to be much the same as the garret t2, as they are both used on the 306 dturbo it was removed from.
    will it run up to around 200bhp? just looking into its intake,seems rather small compared to what ive used before.....
    it has an external wastegate already which is adjustable manually, but for space issues i may gring it from the housing and run one directly to the manifold...
    so anyone got any info that may help? or is it not even suitable? id really like to use it as it was free...................

    There a rather small low temperature (diesel only) unit. You can use the codes off it to look up the exact spec but as far as I know none of the ones fitted to the KKKs from the 306 would be very happy pushed that far.

    hmmm i thought that would be the case, best see if i can find a gt17 then...
    is the t2 thats also fitted to the diesels any different to the petrol versions then?

    Generally turbos off diesels won't stand up to much on a petrol engine
