Boot won't lock

    My boot won't lock for some reason, i have dewipered it don't no if that has anything to do with it. the central locking works just doesn't lock the boot any thoughts why ?

    Take the boot plastic off and check you havent accidentaly pulled the loom out of the boot lock. I did this, boot didn't lock for 2 weeks untill I stripped the car and noticed the plug hanging down.

    The white stick thing is hard to move on mine when i try turn it with key it doesnt move is that my problem?

    Would only effect the central locking, you locks probably just busted.

    What's my problem then as it will lock but only with the key doesn't lock with the button

    The white plastic part has holes in it & there is black lug that fits in 1 of these holes,if its disconnected then the plunger won`t work properly.The other thing to check is to see if the metal control rod hasn`t come out either the top or bottom hole.I know this because i`ve just swapped over tailgates & all the electrics.

    Ill get some pictures up this weekend, It seems to be connected up there is a wire lose as its been de wipered but the white stick doesnt move at all even with alot of force

    Take out the black box with the white stick. Boot is now manual opening. I did it for mine cos the white thing is stuck

    I want it working with central locking tho , But if it doesnt then ill do this
