Exhaust fitting help

   I have bought a backbox ( scorpion i think or magnex ) and a 1.1 centre pipe. How does the backbox fit to the centre pipe? I thought it was an olive clamp but when i put the clamp over the joints when they are together they're still loose if you know what i mean.

   I haven't tried to put it on the car yet I just tried to line them up so that they are both touching and then put the clamp around them, am I doing it right lol? I haven't got an olive but I've got a gasket

   Put the two ends together and join the two parts together with one of these and tighten it up as much as you can

   Thanks for your help, does it still need exhaust paste? Also I was wondering what's the point in putting the wire gasket inside, it wont actually be pressing against anything to create a seal
