vts goin to stall

   Hi my vts has a problem when i stop in traffic or traffic lights it idles normal for few seconds then it idles funny and goes to stall if i tap on the throttle it doesnt stall has any one had this problem????

   Sounds like an ICV or maybe lambda but i think the engine management light comes on if the lambda sensors gone

   The engine management light doesnt come on so must be the idle control valve how much is it to buy????

   I would suspect the ICV to start with, can get them from a scrappie for a tenner or from Ebay for slightly more
   
   Post in the wanted section on here, there are probably loads of members who have one kicking around
   
   Could always remove yours and clean it, see if it helps

   Idle control valve is about 37 quid from eurocarparts i think. Hope this helps.

   Lambda I reckon mine did the same, changed it and not it's fine and doesn't overfuel

   Did your management light come on as i have the same symptoms and have changed every sensor to no availe,

    I had the same problem. Clean your ICV out and map sensor. It cured mine for a while then once it was up to running temp it started idling high. As nick said it could be the lambda sensor.

    I'd say lambda as ICV did nothing for me...

    How much is the lamba sensor? Ive had no engine management light come on when goes to stall i will try the icv then if that dont work i will try the lamba sensor

    Thats not bad price im goin to try the icv first to see if that makes a difference hopefully does

    management light didnt come on mate.. lambda sensor made a hell of a difference.
