15" alloys vs 14 steel wheels

    Hi there

I've bought a 1999 Saxo East Coast 1.0 - bit of a dog at the moment

My concern is that the technical data suggust that the car should have 14" wheels, but it has 15" alloys with 195/45/R15 tyres - nothing is rubbing, but without PAS you definately need muscles to park it.

As it has 15" wheels, would that affect the speedo/mileage reading?

I would appreciate any advice, I may consider returning to 14" steel wheels

Is this car Mark 1,2 or 3 ?

    Regards

    Dave

It shouldnt affect the speedo etc, well not noticeably anyway, mk1 has the squareish headlights mk2 has the more rounded facelift headlights.

Only two marks of saxo. Eastcoast is a mk1.

Mine did, around 50 mph there'll only be a few mph different but at like 90 (if it gets there) ther may be 5-7 maybe.

Thank you all for your very helpful replies - all I need to do now is build up some muscle for parking at Tesco!!

shouldnt have any bearing if the tyres are low profile, that will be accounted for when it comes to the overall diameter, i had 15 inch alloys with low profile on my last saxo
