air temperature sensor resistor

    hiya

i was looking on ebay recently and came across these, someones selling them and say that it makes your ecu think theres cold air coming in so it changes the fuel mixture like it would if it was cold outside.
sounds a bit funny to me any thoughts?

put simply: doesnt work, 5p resistor, chance of damaging engine.

yeah waste of money, tricks your car into thinking the engine is cold running so the ecu adds a little extra fuel like on cold starting to try warm the engine up to operating temperature where optimum perfeormance is acheived, any way this way of trickign the ecu is highley un recommended as it can damage your engine in more ways than one including white washing were the added fuel washes the oil off the surface of the cylinder bore thus not providing enought lubrications and causing more wear and tear on your block
