    Bearings are well knackered LOL.

Was about to order one from work (halfords).

Will it be a 70a or an 80a alternator?

    Its a mk1 vtr btw

    Thanks

70a will be fine, pay attention to the pulley... some have a V belt and some have a ribbed belt.

Without A/C it wont really make any difference between 70/80/90 amps, although I always go for the biggest I can get because I do most of my driving at night.

As said, its mainly the pulley that is important.

Thats a fairly big altrernator for a small car... I'm only going by the fact most alternators i've seen are 70a on 106's and saxo's - Even on my 306 dturbo.

Try Andrew Page if youve got one near. I got an exchange Bosch one (good as new, best brand ) for about £60 for my 306 diesel.
