seatblet problem need help urgent

   had harnesses in my car so removed all the seatbelts and now im putting the car back to standard to sell on and i have come to fit the seatbelts again and they have locked or something and i cant get the belt to move is there a way of solving this or do i have to buy new ones?

   hi mate yes you can open them best way is to bolt them in the position and slowly pull the belt out

   they are that locked i cant get the top bolted in

   if you place the bottom bit where the ratchet is into place bolt it in then gently pull the belt up

   The ball bearing will prevent it from unwinding now.
   
   You have to take one side of the seatbelt casing off, prize it open and peak in to see if its the one with the white cogs and ball bearing (if its the metal spring loaded coil dont open the case off any further and put it back together before it unravels).
   
   One you have the case off the cog side, remove the ball bearing and unravel the belt, replace the ball and case and make sure the belt dosent wind in any further or you will have the problem again.
