Immobiliser Again

   Im still a tad confused about my immobiliser issue. Ive got a 1998 s reg vtr which whe n i bought it had no ecu but a coded key. So i was goin to borrow my mates ecu key and immobiliser box to get it going right quick. He has got a 1997 r reg vtr but he aint got a coded key or a pickup on the key barrel or an imobiliser box...
   What the hell is going off there??

   he most probs have the one were you have to enter a code into the keypad, most of the 96-97 models had the keypad and 98 onwards had the chipped key.
