Whirring Noise When Cold - VTS

  1. #1
Got an 03 plate mk2 VTS and sometimes when i turn it on and its still cold it makes this weird whirring noise when i rev it, but then after about 20-30 seconds when it warms up a bit and the idle drops down to just below 1000rpm it stops...

The noise sounds a bit similar to the whirring noise you get when you're reversing.

    Know what it could be?

    plenty of oil in it?

Mine is exactly the same. Think the noise is from the cam belt when the engine is stone cold - nothing to worry about imo.

Yeah i thought it may have been to do with the cambelt. Obviously one of those little quirky things that comes with saxos!
