Front suspension/spring

Im sick of the endless list of work now creaping up to do on my sax, ive just been out to buy some new discs/pads for front and rear nad noticed a slight banging type sound when i took some corners.

Anyways becasue it sounded quite heavy o decided to jack her up and have a play with the steering..

Once jacked i moved the wheels from left to right position and the clunk was coming from the passanger side, after abit of fannying about it seems when i turn the steering the spring gets stuck and releases about 20 seconds after ive already gone round the corner..

Should i just lube the spring up and hope it releases, or does it sound asthough its time they were replaced? theres a small bit of corrsion mainly paint work flaking off and tbh the srping looks fine.. but id rather not have the banging or worrying the fecking thing is just going to snap on me

its the top of the spring that doesnt seem to be moving until about 30 seconds after the rest of the spring has already moved.

Edit: also... looking for some new wheels if anyone has anything decent for a fair price, discovered after moving rear wwheel to front that it has a slight buckle... wanted to replace them anyway so this is an excuse to do so.
She already has standard VTR so not looking to replace with the same.
