mk2 vtr cat noise?

   Got a noise thats driving me mad, its sounds like a metalliic rattle / creak. At first i thought it was one of the heat shields so i checked both the manifold one and the one under the floor pan but there both solid with no movement, its abit of a mystery as when the engine is warm it disappears, could it be something to do with the cat. Please help MOT soon!

   Check the headsheild that is protecting the rad from the heat of the exhaust cat, check see if its crack of loose. Happend to mine and was REAL irritating.. fingers crossed mate

   And if it is.. force it down its only soft and try wedge it in somewhere to stop it moving

   Mines doing the same I just cba to fix it.
   
   I got told that the cat was collapsed. But it wasn't, its the heat shield.
