rear beam swap

   i have a x reg 1.4 furio and mot due my rear beam is done in so can i just get a rear beam off a vtr and fit it with the rear discs to as i only have rubbish drum brakes on mine and will i have to change the brake pipes and handbrake cable

   it will go straight in but you do need to replace the handbrake cables!

   so brake pipes will still fit

   Im sure handbrake cables are the same.

   Even if they dont, its easy enough to get copper brake piping (that doesn't rust) and shape it to how you need it. The main problem you'll have is undoing the original bastard brake unions because they sometimes just don't budge.
