#2been asked a few times now, basically the outcome was not to bother, much hassle etc, would be better just to get a VTS engine or 106 GTi engine.
-
#3some people seem to think the 2l xsara engine will fit, but as baz says the general thinking is it won't. well not without a hell of a lot of work & probably not worth the arse-ache of trying to get it in.
stick a vts lump in! -
#4add a 16 valver in with sum bodies on!
game on!
or a bike engine in the boot!

#5if your going to fuck around with engines in the boot, you may as well just buy a good car from factory if you have that much dosh....imo
-
#6^^ exactly. if you want a fast car whilst retaining the good handling of the saxo then fit a boosted vts engine, you'd get more for your money and it probably wouldn't cost an awful lot more than the hassle of fitting the xsara engine (custom mounts, shafts, wiring, exhaust).

#7check out zcars.com for the rear engine conversion.

how did the engine blow up -
#9yeah in the orange one i was bout 50 mile from home (doncaster) i think i fcuked the engine on the way to the show as i hammered it cos i was late! oh well engine and install were next on the list so its just give me the kick up the arse i needed to sort it

#10as people have said, the best thing to do is to but a saxo vts engine in! a xsara vts engine is heavy, so ruins the handling and only has 167 brake which you can get out of a saxo vts lump without forced induction, but do that, you can look at around 200 brake at the wheels! :Y:
cool? ... i think so -
#11Xsara 2.0 will fit in the front as I have heard of one in an AX, but be prepared to cut half of the car away!
