i have this problem on my furio with the coonection between the 421 down pipe and the small section of pipe for the end of that to the centre pipe. there is the smallest of gaps and when i start it cold drips of water come out only a few though. both surfaces on this connection are flat so im getting a gasket for it. depends what shape the pipe is for you.

Had the same problem on mine (02 vtr) ended up selling the sportex manifold because it never sealed properly, only time it sounded slightly ok was when it was red hot from a long run and even then it still blew a bit, dont think its very well made in my opinion! I tried almost everything to stop it aswell..

Id go for another manifold i think that would seal it up better than changing the centre pipe, upto you though i guess and I can't see your exhaust so im sure you kno best lol! sorry about posting twice by the way my bad.

Exhaust putty should seal it a tad. Or if its leaking from the Engine outlet, then get the mani off and flat the top a few mm.
