Lowering

    Hi guys.

Im going to lower the vtr (on springs not coilovers) but im not sure how low to go i was thinking between 50mm/60mm. All i know is i want low... but not annoying low. So this is where i need help, how low is annoying?

Ive seen springs of 50mm, 55mm or 60mm online but not with a pic of the car on them, so i dont know what the saxo will look like. If any of u guys want to upload a pic of ur ride hight so i can see a certain height, this may help me make a decision. Lol.

Also to get a level height meaning rear as low as front do i have to have a different size at the back to the front? One thing i dont like seeing is the front being lower than the back.

I know foooooook'all about lowering so thought i would ask here

    Thanks in advance!

You can't get rear springs as saxos have a torsion bar on the rear so this torsion bar needs to adjusted to suit the front .
I have 14" vtr wheels and mine is lowered 55 at the rear and there is a finger width gap between the tyre and the arch and I have the apex 50mm spring on front and apex dampers all around

Dont know how low my saxo is but its "annoying" low 1 thing to keep in mind is the weight with subs passengers and other stuff in your boot put my sub in today and dropped a bit more might get it raises 10 mm .

i was looking at 30mm but even that will still be a bit high....40 or 50 may be a better option

if you are going lower then 40mm you will need to upgrade the shocks also.. not just the springs, as it will be rather dangerous

yes people will say "i just changed the springs mine are fine.." they may be holding up, doesnt mean they are fine.. they will slowly give out over time, and with the roads in the state they are.. thats not a good plan..

kam sell some good lowering kits..

    Hope that helps

ill be lowering my car 40mm front 50mm back soon
