Mk2 vtr holding back at 4k revs

   Hi I was wondering if anyone could shed some light on this glitch with the saxo. Drives fairly nice even with a whining gearbox but if you put your foot down and get to 4k it bogs and holds back then fires back into life and carries on up the rev range absolutely fine?!
   
   I use the car more of a get to work car rarther than a toy so it's never bothered me going too high up in the revs...would like to get it sorted sooner rarther than later tho as apart from that glitch it's a belting little car.

   i would start with the basics mate,fuel filter/spark plugs etc and see how u get on,failing that get a diagnostics done
