Loose Battery

    When i bought my MK2 Vtr a few weeks back, a few jobs needed doin, one of which was ecuring the battery. So I ordered a battery clamp via Ebay as both citreon or peugeot had non in stock.

    Thing is now the clamps arrived i dont know for sure which way round it goes on. Does any1 have a pic that they could put up of theres plz.

    It's the most ill fitting thing ever. I'm sure it was an afterthought before Pug/Cit.

    Anyway, the clamp should be triangle shaped (you never can tell with ebay junk though!). The widest part should sit on the lip around the bottom of the battery.

    Corrct shape, got it sitting in the lip right, but wanted to know which way round. Is it hollow facing up?

    Yep, the hollow bit facing up. As the otherside should have a groove along the longedge to enable it to locate onto the battery lip properly.

    i put a strap round the battery and the bottom tray to hold myne them brackets are crud strap looks quite good aswell actualy cus u can colour code it and use somin that looks good

    It has to be securely fit for the MOT doesnt it?

    ye it does, it cant move or slide about, so a strap works fine
