Big Problem with driver seat

Hi,
The seat mechanism in my drivers seat that allows the seat to slide backwards and forwards collapsed last week. The main problem is that its collapsed with the seat the full way back which means i cant get near the bolt just to lift the seat out. Any ideas of what i could do to remove it?
Or has anybody a diagram that shows how the lifting mechanism works so i could maybe give it a go without taking it out. Its the drivers left hand side thats broke (closest to handbrake)

get someone to sit in the passengerseat and push the whole thing towards the drivers door so you can try work on it, upload a pic cant quite understand what your saying.

No point in a picture mate cant see anything wrong with it at all.
The problem is,when you lift the bar that lets you slide the seat backwards and forwards it does nothing,i think the mechanism that allows the seat to move along the left side runner has collapsed or isn't working in some way. Nothing stuck underneath that could be jamming it so has to be a problem with that mechanism. That's the best way i can describe it lol. And also as it's jammed the full way back its not possible to get at the bolt that holds the seat in place so i can't even just lift it out and look

It also feels like i can't pull the bar up as far as it should normally go,but you cant force it anymore. Its definately still connected aswell

i have a similar problem but it's with my passenger seat instead.
it slides along the runners ok
but it doesn't fold forwards against the dash to let people in the back

help!

Umm, try getting some one to push it forward or back hile your holding the handle up with ome weight on the seat. as for the foldig on swap the passenger and driver seat around maybe ?
