car to hot?

   after a short while of driving my car temp always seems to be just above the half way mark. and when i turn engine off 80% of the time the fans going?
   
   normal? if not then what could be wrong?

   You still got all the fins in your radiator? Is it corroded?

   yeah all there from what i can recall, few dead bugs in it but cleaned them the other day lol. will bleeding the rad help?

   Yeah bleeding it might help, just make sure the general condition of the rad is ok and not rotten. Mine's pretty much buggered the fan comes on after 15 mins of driving and stays on for a good 5 minutes after i've turned car off no matter what the temperature is outside

   Lack of coolant, air lock, headgasket...
   You guys should count yourself lucky, I have 2 fans and neither of them work.

   i did have it looked at, at the local garage but they said they couldnt see any problems. could be just me paranoid but im going to take a good look at weekend.
   
   well one working fan is better than 2 fucked ones!

   mine runs high....scared me at first, fan does come on now (now it's fixed) it sits 3/4 of the way up but will come back down to about half way once fan kicks in.
   
   I would say check coolant/water levels, are the pipes hot too? If not I would bleed them again, may have a air lock?..

   Sounds like air in the system however I changed my coolant temperature sensor(green 1) recently & the temperture gauge sits at 1/2 way or slightly above all the time.Before it used to go up to 3/4 after driving at 70mph.So maybe something worth checking.

    same problem here when i turn engine off or when it sits on idle for about a minute fan kicks in. wierd
