anyone looking for new axle?

  1. #1
just bought a refurbed one for my mk2 vts for 199 plus VAT.

    total price £242 delivered

    http://catalogue.mycarpart.co.uk/cat...x.php?cPath=31

very cheap compared to other sites.

the arrange a courier to come collect your old axle after its removed, so probs why its abit cheaper.

seems like a good deal to me tho
    what you think?

hahaha, if you aint working for them or been told to post that then you will soon find out about how shoddy their cowboy work is and find out about how bad an why their rep is so tarnished.

Complete and utter shit. Some poeple have risked it with these guys and then gone to other axle places after wards with their cowboy repaired axle.

They need to put their fisher price tools away and call it a day, they must get tired of changing their company name all the time to get rid of the bad reputations!

Have a search on here, many threads about them. Or PM Paul as he thought they sounded good, and then updated his thread saying avoid at all costs and ended up going to IM Axles.

When they say precision they mean they measured using an eleastic band. They dont replace the stub pins, sometimes just one side, theyre the wrong size, theyre not machined properly. They dont remove the pins properly, sometimes cut out a hole in the beam and then weld it back up again. They have very poor customer service.

They change their eBay name and make new accounts regulary too. Id get your money back as soon as you can, say it was a mistake or something. Providing they havnt seen this thread already, if they have il probably get threats off them as they do to other members.

Eventually got a refurbished one... After nearly loosing the back end a couple times lol. So yeah its definately worth getting one sooner rather than later, especially if your saxo is worth 2,000.

Careful where you get your refurbished one from, i'd only recommend IMAXLES off here, they've got a good history and reputation.

Earlier this year i got mine from a place in padiham called pugcitaxles or something.. and it was fucked, and they refused to give a refund or replace it despite their 2 year warranty bollocks. The company in padiham keeps changing their name (because of reputation and bad feedback), at one point they had like 3 different ones. So be careful. The bad thing is its sometimes hard to tell that they're fucked until their on the car. I've got a feeling the place i got mine had simply hammerited it black and classed it as 'refurbished'.

Give IMaxles a call, they'll sort you out

    Hi mate.

They've had about 5 different company names. They've changed their ebay account name loads of times due to bad feedback.

Their 2 year warranty is bollocks, if you google them you'll see other people have said this also. If you ring them complaining about the axle they'll start getting abusive and wont refund you.

My axle had two completely wrong size "new stubs ready for you to fit your calipers and carriers and wheel bearings" upon ringing them and asking them about them they got abusive and told to remove my old ones out my old axle and fit them to it (they normally break when removing them as they're only a weak ally metal). When going around corners i was getting a loud PING, arb needed tightening up. They also asked if i would like it lowering, when i asked could they do it 50mm they said well they're on notches so it would be 40mm or 60mm.... so i told them not to lower it.

    Thanks for your help guys,

    ill be very warey,

a good freind machanic is fitting it for me, and ill tell him to give a thorough look at it to check its ok,
hes not one of those machanics that will fit it and just want the money even if it looks unsafe. If it looks bad he will refuse to fit it.

Ill keep you updated tho, im going away for a couple of weeks on sunday, so wont be for a little while before i can tell if its ok or not,

but if it does go tits up i know some very 'usefull' people if they start to be idiots over it lol
