    hello

i asked you all recently about any ideas you have on improving the appearance of my saxo forte i got last month as it is untouched atm.

i had a lot of good ideas from you guys, so thank you.

one of them i liked the sound of was colour coded cd console/air vents.

and i looked at some other members pictures of thought it looked good.

then i realised, COLOUR CODED, ah...

i have a black saxo forte.

    my console is already black...

but then, i thought maybe a silver one would look good?

    what do you guys think?

    xxx

Nooo! Don't do it lol. Think it ruins a car when someone paints the wee interior bits. Colour code the outside though that would make it look a good bit better

oh i'm confused colour code the outside?

i meant the bit that goes round the cd player bit, with the fan, heat slider, cigarette lighter, ash tray, buttons and air vent etc, they would all still stay black but the bit around the outside would be silver?

all the buttons and my kenwood cd player would all still be black though

He means spray the bump strips gloss black to match the car.

Well if you think it looks good then fire ahead. Loads of people do it bu i just think it takes the look away from the car, looks tacky imo.
ea what he said...the parts outside that are plastic, get them sprayed to match the car

yeaaah i wanted to get that done too because my ones are black plastic, but they're all like faded now, like greyish and they stand out

Spray them to match the car like we just said. Can get something like this if you cba though. http://shop.autoglym.com/rubber-plas...per-black.html .

Yea definately get them sprayed to match the car then.
Theres a few things on the site that show you how to do it if you search about it but you'd be best getting it left in somewhere professional. Was going to spray my own gloss black but theres alot of messing up that could be done lol.

    thank you for the tips

but i still need opinions on whether to get a silver cd console and possibly air vents for my black saxo forte?
  15. #15
I dont think you should. IMO its one of those things that seems right at the time then 3 months later you'll hate it lol. I'll hoke out a few pics here

i did my interior bits white.. and i personally love it

custom black/white checkered glove box with a cheeky carbon fibre handle.. doing the roof liner to match the glove box.. might do the door cards too if i have enough material left spare!

Looks alright but the fuse box cover just sticks out imo. Other stuff sorta blends in coz its separate from the dash but the fuse box cover is just like a big white pointless square amongst the rest of the black on the dashboard.

lovin that interior, iv always liked the stickr bomb look, lad on ere done it on his citroen badge and petrol cap on a black vtr i think.

With regards to the forte, imo i think silver looks tacky, white might be nice, but it is your car

he says as i received my silver one today haha

oh well you live and learn, i thought it would look nice because a lot of other stuff in my interior is silver. So i thought it would match, I didn't want it to look too odd...

Well I will put it on regardless, getting the side air vents done too, that's it for the dash. I've seen other members have also sprayed their fuse box and glove compartment, but imo i think that would be too much
