driveshaft seals fitting?,please help

   hi there guys i was wondering if some one could tell me which way the new seal goes in.heres the pics

   which ones of these pics points in towards the gearbox when fitting,im in the middle of this now so help would be greatly appreicaited thanks

   top one,just tap it in evenly to the point were the old one was

   hi guys how far does it go in.im struggling here lol.drivehaft wont go all the way in now.need the car by 6 to lol.thanks

   I have a question about seals.
   
   some come with a white plastic collar on the outward facing edge of the seal.
   
   Should this be removed before the driveshafts go in or is this just left on as a type of debris barrier?
