tyres wont seat

after having my wheels powder coated i got some new tyres same as before (195/45/15) and they go on and then blow up jsut just wont seat that last little bit

the fitter said could be the powder coat is too thick best way to remove it?

    cheers

powdercoatings normally are about 60microns or so - sometimes less- so I doubt that 0.06mm will affect the seating of a tyre.

Had a problem with 35 profiles in the past being a fucker to ping on, but never 45s.

I'm a tyre fitter myself and what he needs to do is put lots of soap onto the tyre bead before fitting and put a slap of that same soap on both edges of the rim. making it extremely slippy. second step is to put up to 90psi. init.
if that doesnt do the job take the valve insert out with the tyre fitted and try blowing it up like that first until the bead pops both sides. max

we went to about 100 psi i think am gonna try a more main stream tyre fitter he is just a mate/mate of a mate with a little garage/tyre service will try another it is not far from popping on! at first he said "there too small" i said that they cant be but he couldnt get it on may try someone like alba tyres etc

Also if the tyres are shit, that would explain it...

Also try using an innertube and get one side sealed once its fully inflated. remove the innertube and then work on getting the other side sealed, get a couple of poeple and put pressure all around it pushing the lip up so it meets the wheel.
