    Anyone please

I have cleaned all terminals that connect today
    Checked the flywheel for wear

Made sure the alternator gives out current

Could it be the blue wire on the back of the starter that goes to the ignition

What current is it and how could i test it.

the battery to starter carries voltage, so does the alternator to starter.

I traced the blue wire from starter to ignition and ran a current through it so thats ok.

found these two wires while i was there, does anyone know where they should be

Also the connector with the red wire coming out of hasnt got anywhere to go.

What should I do about the two brown wires on bottom left of pic

Should it be plugged into the red wire block to the right

Hi mate, On my Starter motor assessment, my mate took it out, and then put it back, and got the ignition / live connection the wrong way round, which caused the starter motor to stay engaged while running, maybe this?

yes, but its been done like that because the ign. barrels done the usual trick. if you connect it back up you'll have no PAS/rear window

Yes! this is exactly what has happened to me!

But im using a different starter motor that i got 2nd hand and its making twice the noise of the 1st starter motor that i wired up wrong

Do you think i might have messed the circuit up somehow?

Had this before, was the wiring, think it was to do with the wiring under the dash passenger side, think one of the relays was burnt out also.

According to haynes there the alternator is connected to the blower relay, was it this one that you had to replace or was there wiring aswell?

Not sure tbh mate it was actually a garage that sorted it out at the time along with a gearbox, just check your wiring on the starter motor also.
