Important! : major problem

   hi i had my head overhauled on my mrk1 vts put it all back together but didnt lock the bottom end of,but made sure the grove on the crank was at 6 0'clock, so the marks on the cam belt all matched up,started the car and ther was a banging noise,took the belt of and started again,now i cant even turn the engine over manualy without it get jammed,am i fucked or what??any help pls.cheers

   u shud turn it over by hand first to make sure its timed correctly with out damaging the engine, take the belt off and out it on again and turn it over a few full rotations by hand and if rotated properly with no knocks or bangs then try and start it

   i turned it over by hand the first time,4 times i got like o rubbing or sucking noise but it did turn over by hand,now it wont,cud i have bent something?
