Important! : vts cutting out on tick over

   hey guys,
   
   latly noticed my vts cutting out on tick over hot or cold temp
   
   i can start car in morning no problem leave it 5 mins to warm up etc and then 5 mins later it start to drop revs under 1000 and trys stole but engine fighting it then wthin few secs engine just cut outs but i can start it up again no probelm,
   
   also i noticed pinging noises latly some people say its the exhaust cooling down but when bonnet open sound like coming from engine
   
   has anyone else had this problem or no what else could be

   does the car drive ok without cutting out?

   yeah drives fine no problem when sat in tarffic thou on stand still it try cutting out

   My PUG had this problem. It was a loose connecter on the trottle body.

   pushed all connectors in bud take it to garage there like its fine im like no i no my car and that not fine lol and u no when u want to show one somthing and never happens when u want it lol

   shot in that dark mate but check out icv, could have some shit on it which could make it cut out.

   Hi, This happened to my 1.1. All that had to be changed was the MAP Sensor it costs about £40, it has worked fine ever since and hasn't ever cut out on me.

   cut out 3 times in a row 1 was when driving also engine light come on

    when it cut out when drivin was it when u dipped the clutch to change gear?

    mine was the same turn out to be the map senser
