Running issues with VTR engine

  1. #1
Hi, just got hold of a 2000 106 with a VTR blacktop engine in it. The ECU has three plugs on the side. I've been having some major running issues and I have no idea what the problem is.

Basically, the car starts and drives fine for a while, but when up to temp / above 40mph it bogs down, loses power, then cuts out completely.

I had the AA guy hook up a diagnostic to it which indicated 8 Fault codes (dont have them with me) but three were regarding the Lambda sensor, and 4 stated something like 'Open Injector Circuit - Cylinder 1' (for all four cylinders).

I replaced the Lambda sensor, removed the battery for half hour and hooked it back up, and it started but had the same issues. However, my toad alarm now doesn't work at all and I still have the running problems!!!

    Can anyone help please?

    thanks

Some companies offer an injector cleaning/test service it may pay you to have this done.
