Electrical problem . Please help.

   Hi guys I have just fitted my 106 doorcard and the mirror adjuster is fooked I've bought a new one still no joy and also tried my Saxo one , when I plug it in the mirror just moves inwards and doesn't stop until I switch off the ignition , Anyone have any ideas ? Is it shorting out somewhere Many thanks
